October - Owl and her calf were seen on the 25th on the Southern end of Stellwagen Bank**. They were in the vicinity of another whale who was feeding, but did not appear to be doing the same! Thanks to Regina Asmutis at Plymouth Marine Mammal Research Center for sharing this sighting.

September -

OWL - It has been confirmed! We saw Owl and her calf on Stellwagen Bank on Monday, September the 1st! Wonderful to see her with yet another calf - very healthy.

August -

We had no reported sightings of our whale adoption whales this month.

June and July have brought very good news for our whale sponsors!!s

BADGE  and OWL (and her calf) - Both whales were sighted on several occasions during the last two weeks of June on Jeffrey's Ledge! They were engaged in deep feeding activity along with several other adult whales including Tear, Ase, Trident, Colt, Echo, Bandit, Pinball and her calf (among others!). It is especially nice to know that Badge is around, after such a long disappearance!

SOCKEYE - He has been reported** to be in the waters off Brier Island, Nova Scotia! Apparently, he showed up in this northern area in the Gulf of Maine sometime in May. He was seen feeding in the area along with several other humpback whales. Hopefully, he will make an appearance down this way at some point this season!

SHARK - Shark has been seen in the company of many other adult females feeding in the area east of Cape Cod, MA, known as the Great South Channel**! She was seen there in June and again in July! We're on our way there for a two day research trip on August 18 & 19th - we're hoping to spend some time with this great whale!
